Job Summary:
The Lead Instructor is responsible for delivering customized, high-quality leadership development training to Department of the Army civilians under the JTL Program. This includes curriculum delivery, team facilitation, assessment interpretation, and coordination with the Government COR and Program Manager.
Job Description:
- Deliver formal, in-person training sessions at Rock Island Arsenal (Tier I–III) and Washington, DC (Tier III only)
- Conduct instruction on leadership fundamentals, communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, ethics, Army values, and more
- Provide engaging, energetic, and positive facilitation using tools like PowerPoint, whiteboards, and flipcharts
- Interpret MBTI Step II and 360° assessments
- Deliver one-on-one coaching sessions
- Provide written and verbal feedback on participant reports, presentations, and assignments
- Customize training materials, agendas, and learning modules
- Coordinate with the Program Manager on guest speakers and logistical planning
Education, Experience & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree minimum (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in federal leadership development training
- Certified in MBTI Step II and 360° Feedback Tools
- Excellent facilitation and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Army culture, civilian-military dynamics, and Joint Ethics Regulations (JER 5500.7-R)
