St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach Kindergarten through 8th grade student Physical Education. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Physical Education and support the Athletic program. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
- BS / BA Degree in Education or Physical Education.
- Florida department of Education Physical Education K-12 teaching certificate.
- Experience in teaching PE.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with use of innovative instructional technologies.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Proficiency with Apple technologies just as iPad.
- Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
