Description of the Position : (Purpose of the Position) :

The St. Olaf Admissions Student Music Recruitment Coordinator works alongside the Assistant Dean of Fine Arts Recruitment assisting in various aspects of the music admissions process and the Fine Arts Scholarship Program.

Duties and Responsibilities :

This year-long position includes assisting with and leading information sessions on campus and on tours, communicating rehearsal schedules to the Campus Visit Office, leading the Admissions Crew on ambassador ensemble tours, processing music application files, communicating with prospective students, families, and visiting high school ensembles, and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications : (Education / Experience / Skills)

• A strong sense of initiative, self-direction, and a high level of motivation
• Excellent communication skills, including presentation ability to large and small groups
• A positive attitude, sense of humor, and the ability to lead by example
• An aptitude for both collaboration and independent work
• Membership in the St. Olaf Choir, the St. Olaf Band, or the St. Olaf Orchestra
• An interest in arts administration, music recruitment, and / or the admissions field
