Pay Rate :
2024-25 : Standard CBWS Hourly Rate ($15 / hr). This position is subject to an annual wage increase.
2025-26 : Specialized CBWS Hourly Rate ($20 / hour). This pay rate aligns with the pay scale for Healthy Community Initiative (NCCC parent organization) and is subject to an annual wage increase.
IMPORTANT : STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STATE OR FEDERAL WORK AWARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY BASED WORK STUDY (CBWS) POSITIONS. Student CBWS work eligibility is subject to change due to work award re-determinations over the summer. This means even students who were a chosen applicant for the position may be ineligible to work if they do not have a state / federal work award come Fall 2025. Description of the Position : (Purpose of the Position) :
The NCCC works to support Northfield students pursuing post-secondary education by offering tutoring, childcare and other student support services. The NCCC intentionally focuses on partnering with recent Northfield alumni, especially students of color, those from low-income families, and those who are first-generation college attendees. The NCCC Childcare Specialist provides childcare while students attend evening classes. Additionally, they will be asked to support various capacity-building projects as needed.
