Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with Lutheran curriculum standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Utilize various teaching methods, including tutoring and individualized instruction, to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing behavior management techniques as necessary.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the academic and social development of students.
- Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in literacy education and classroom management.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to effectively utilize learning technology in the classroom.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
