Job Title : Senior Accountant Status : Exempt, Full-time, Full-year
Department : Business Office
Reports to : Director of Finance
This position supports financial planning and budget analysis across all departments, programs and initiatives. Primary responsibilities will include :
- analyzing and accounting for the School's endowment gifts, income allocations, and distributions; and,
- monitoring daily cash activity and related reconciliations.
In addition, this position will work on various projects to assist the Director of Finance. Some of these projects may include new system implementation or integration, workflow automation, and assisting in the preparation of Committee presentation materials, monthly financial reporting, and annual audit and tax workpapers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Duties may be modified and other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Director of Finance.
Review daily gift entries and related donor agreements from the advancement department to ensure proper accounting.
Monthly reconciliation of cash accounts and daily review and recording of cash activity.
Preparation of monthly general ledger entries.
Assist with presentations for Committee meetings.
Developing the annual budget for insurance.

Other :
Normal work schedule is a minimum of 40 hours per week, full year, typically 7 : 30 a.m. until 4 : 00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
