What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Bussers (DT) position at St. Petersburg Yacht Club?
We are currently looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join our team as a Dining Room Busser. The Busser will prepare the back of the house, including all necessary mise-en-place for service. He/she will help the dining room servers clear and set tables and transfer food from the kitchen or serving station to guests at tables. All duties will be performed within the guidelines of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives. The ideal candidate has the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.), a friendly and team-oriented personality, and good communication and people skills.

Responsibilities
- Ensures all supplies are available, including linen, glasses, plates, cups/saucers, plate covers, etc.
- For Buffet set-up, ensures all necessary chafers, serving utensils, sternos, condiments, etc., are available
- Serves food and drinks as outlined in event contract in a professional and courteous manner
- Cleans designated areas in accordance with Yacht Club procedures, banquet routines, and hygiene requirements
- Changes table linen as required and ensures dirty or damaged linen is counted and exchanged for clean, usable linen
- Sets tables to Yacht Club standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged, and in a good state of repair
- Ensures side stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen, or other established needs (food or equipment)
- Performs set up duties per contract, such as skirting tables, setting up Hors d' Oeuvres tables, using display props and/or decor, etc.
- Checks on the beverage needs of guests, including coffee/tea service, water, or cocktails
- Ensures room is cleared of all dirty dishes, linen, debris, and extra supplies that were not used at the conclusion of an event
- Attends meetings and training courses as required
- Follows all company policies, procedures, and standards regarding job duties, attendance, personal appearance and demeanor, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned
