St. John Primary/ St. Theresa Middle, a Catholic school committed to faith, excellence, and service, are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Maintenance Associate. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and have basic handyman skills to ensure a safe and well-maintained learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Assist with upkeep of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Set up and break down for school events and activities as needed.
- Ensure outdoor spaces, including playgrounds and walkways, are clean and safe.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to address maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures in accordance with school policies.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as lawn care, pressure washing, and minor HVAC maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman work is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage tasks.
- Must be able to uphold the values and mission of a Catholic school environment.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible scheduling may be required based on school needs).
- Compensation: Based on experience.
