Responsibilities listed are not limited to other duties assigned:
St. Theresa’s STEP program is an integral part of St. Theresa School’s culture and Christian community.
The STEP aides will:
- Organize, facilitate, and monitor the activities of children enrolled in their assigned area within the STEP program
- Monitor and interact with students to keep them engaged in creative, artistic, and physical activities
- Participate and assist with the activities of children enrolled in the program as needed
- Monitor students while outside on the playground areas
- Ensure student understanding of program rules and procedures
- Assist in resolving student disputes; refer serious discipline problems to the STEP director
- Participate in regular staff meetings and assist with in-service training as needed
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school, or equivalent.
- Experience from volunteering or working with and monitoring school-aged children in an organized work setting (ages 4-14).
- Any other combination of training and experience that could likely provide the required
knowledge and abilities will be considered. - Must be able to be Virtus trained and keep up with online training (typically 1/month).

This position has an hourly pay range of $11.00 - $17.00. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
