What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable and Receivable position at St. Thomas More Church?
This position is at a large and active church. This bookkeeper's main responsibility will be to do our accounts payable and receivable. Experience with accounts payable/receivable is required.
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in accounting preferred. However, equivalent business experience acceptable with 5 years of increased financial leadership in accounting including accounts payable, payroll, general journal entries, general ledger analysis, and financial statement comparative reporting and budgeting.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide accurate and timely booking and financial comparative.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts in compliance.
- Coordinate all payroll preparation and processing per Diocese policy.
- Ensure that coordination of appropriate HR/Benefits for all employees personnel.
- Prepared Bank reconciliation on all banks.
- Manage all financial accounts accordingly.
- Maintain accounts payable and monthly reconciliation.
- Responsible for reviewing vendor payment via Sage 50.
