Classification: Full Time 40 hours; hourly, non-exempt
Hours/Schedule: Mon-Fri (hours to be determined)
Wage: starting @ $25.00 Hourly, negotiable based on experience; biweekly pay schedule
Job Summary
The overall role of the position is to provide St. Vincent de Paul Green Bay with technical support in the areas of bookkeeping, finance and operations. The position works independently and directly with the Finance Director, in collaboration with our operation units, leadership team, payroll, stakeholders and volunteers.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Manage documentation for recording into our bookkeeping software (QuickBooks).
2. Input data into our bookkeeping software (QuickBooks).
3. Reconcile our primary checking and money market accounts.
4. Reconcile/verify conference financial activity (conference checking accounts)
5. Assist with the processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable,
6. Assist as backup with the bi-weekly processing of employee payroll.
7. Gather data and organize narrative explanations.
8. Manage transactions, ledger accounts and prepare expenditure reports.
9. Prepare various budgetary reports and financial accounting statements.
10. Assist with the preparation and management of the budget.
11. Organize budgets, financial statements, and relevant financial data.
12. Assist auditing team with performance and completion of annual fiscal audit report.
13. Seek ways to enhance and improve our bookkeeping and financial processes and systems.
14. Assist with tax and other related administration.
Excellent attendance is required.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
1. High school diploma, post high-school education with certificate courses and degree in accounting or related to bookkeeping are required. Extensive bookkeeping experience is preferred. *Applicants with an accounting degree and extensive experience will be considered first.
2. Excellent knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting computer software systems, with emphasis in QuickBooks online is highly preferred.
3. Proficient ability to operate computer and office equipment.
4. Experience with Microsoft 365, and proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
5. Experience in payroll processing and use of Payroll systems such as Paychex Flex.
6. Strong interest and aptitude in the areas of business, finance, and analytics.
7. Ability to professionally communicate internally with co-workers and leaders; as well as externally with stakeholders, benefit carriers, service providers and those that we serve.
