Job Description: Sales Associate
Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts; keeping track of all cash and credit transactions; ensuring all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions/Duties
Greet each Customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service always.
1. Ring and complete Customer’s transaction of purchase.
2. Keep all sales areas clean, organized and dust free.
3. Answer phone and direct calls.
4. Restock and recycle merchandise.
5. Guide Volunteers with job training assigned to sales areas in Store.
6. Social Media post assigned.
Additional Functions/Duties
1. Provide general information to Customers/Donors.
2. Assist Staff and Volunteers when needed.
3. Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines.
4. React calmly and respond to emergency situations.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Special Conditions of Employment
1. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
3. Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
4. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
5. Sufficient mobility to turn from side-to-side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Sales and Point of Sale a plus.
- Works well under pressure.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Follows direction.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $13.50 - $14.00/hour.
