Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.00/hour

Expected Schedule:

• Friday-Monday, 9:45 AM-6:15 PM (32 hours/week)

Job Summary:

SVdP is seeking a dynamic and motivated Furniture Associate to join our team in achieving excellent customer service and exceeding sales goals. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, customer-focused, and eager to be a part of a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Field customers’ inquiries on the sales floor, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Assist with managing the furniture floor inventory, often moving furniture, loading, and unloading furniture from the store truck and customer’s cars.
• In the absence of the Scheduler, serve as next-in-line to schedule picks and drop offs of furniture and answer the furniture and donations phone line.
• Assist with online sales by responding to inquiries and maintaining accurate listings.
• Assist Drivers with fieldwork as needed by riding in the truck and assisting with donation pickup and deliveries.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or injuries properly.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a welcoming shopping environment and report suspicious activities.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures, reporting any harassment or discrimination to supervisors.

Minimum Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a retail setting, 1-3 years preferred.
• Previous experience moving furniture or other heavy lifting, 1-3 years preferred.
• Previous experience coordinating a delivery schedule, 1-3 years preferred.

• Proficient in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and support fellow team members.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, adept at handling challenging situations and consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, capable of adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic retail environment.
