Summary:
The Environmental Service Lead supports the EVS Supervisor as well as the EVS Technicians. Oversees the timely and safe completion of custodial responsibilities. Helps custodians with complex challenges or technical concerns with the tasks they are assigned. Examine the custodial team's work. aids in creating training materials and weekly schedules. Outstanding communication skills that demonstrate problem-solving ability. understanding of the removal and containment of hazardous waste, as well as OSHA safety procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the supervision of hiring, onboarding, planning, allocating, and managing custodial-related tasks.
- Coordinates upcoming work assignments, delegates assignments. Manages the workflow of EVS services, to include building inspections, and emergency calls for service.
- Inspects work performed by team members. Preforms building inspections to ensures cleaning meets regulatory standards.
- Responsible for coordination of room event set ups/break downs.
- Training staff on proper cleaning and maintenance procedures. Handling and disposal of hazardous/biohazard materials.
- Training staff the use of wet/dry vacuums, floor scrubbers, polishers, and carpet cleaners to undertake thorough floor care, such as stripping, waxing, and buffing hard and resilient floors as well as shampooing carpeted areas.
- On time completion of assigned training and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of supervisor experience preferred
- Experience in working in custodial/or building maintenance work
- Bilingual preferred not required
- Must have a valid in-state driver's license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner
- Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State and local laws, codes, regulations, departmental policies and procedure
