Summary
The Residential Services Coordinator II (RSCII) welcomes individuals experiencing homelessness to the 24/7 Residential program. Clients are met with Compassion and Respect as they are guided through the intake process of the program. RSC II orientates clients to the program and follows up with them routinely to ensure proper services and resources are being delivered. RSC II mentors’ new recruits and assists in their development of meeting expectations of their roles. Paired as a “Buddy” to acclimate them into their new role. The RSC 2 position performs other specialized tasks as needed, to ensure the proper functionality of the program(s) and to meet contractual obligations. Not all RSC II positions conduct the same tasks as they may be individualized per program, based on funding expectations.
Essential Functions
- Enters and updates client-specific data in database ensuring minimum error rating in compliance with grant funding.
- Provides client-specific internal and external referrals and resources based on need (e.g. medical, housing, employment, etc.).
- Conducts client living area inspections to support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living space.
- Collaborates with colleagues to address any concerns or barriers to client success in a solution-focused manner.
- Acts as a ‘Buddy” for onboarding of new recruits and models program expectations, while also is a subject matter expert in a specific area in addition to completion of RSC I duties. RSC II positions vary based on location based on specific program needs and funding requirements.
- Collaborates with Program Manager with inventory tracking to complete supply ordering.
- Completes regular rounds to inspect zones for task completion, while spot checking safety concerns and building maintenance. Is also a liaison in coordinating, conducting and tracking program activities to improve delivery of services.
- On time completion of assigned training and policies.
- Creates a welcoming, safe, inclusive, culturally sensitive living environment for the clients living in the program.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of social services experience.
- Basic Computer skills and understanding of MS Office.
- Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
- RSC I experience preferred
