At St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho, our thrift stores help fund our social services – including our emergency shelters, Father Bill’s Kitchen, and free shower and laundry facilities. You will play an important role by maintaining the cleanliness of our retail store to support our mission to provide direction and services supporting individuals and families in North Idaho needing assistance to enrich, fortify, and rebuild their lives with dignity.
JOB SUMMARY:
Our Janitor position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our St. Vincent de Paul store in Coeur d' Alene.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position entails standard custodian/janitor tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Cleaning building floors (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping)
· Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, as well as restocking bathroom supplies
· Trash disposal for bathrooms, offices, breakrooms and common areas
· Daily sanitizing of high touch areas
· Requesting supplies to be restocked, and equipment requests as needed
· Notating and advising repair needs and property damage
· Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to bend, lift 50 lbs, and stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must have good customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
