Job Description
St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester in Harrison NY is seeking a part time Peer Specialist to join our Health Home Care Coordination program. This program provides support and coordination of services in the community to adults with serious mental illness. Acting as a role model with lived experience, the Peer Specialist helps clients reach their goals by teaching and demonstrating self-advocacy, coping skills and building a support system in the community.

- Accompany and support clients to appointments, shopping trips and other activities in the community
- Provide supportive counseling and assistance to clients struggling with mental health, trauma and substance abuse

- A high school diploma and driver's license is required
- Completion or current enrollment in Peer Specialist training is required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
