Summary
This position is accountable for supporting the staff by performing a wide range of basic clerical/office tasks for the Office of Public Safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides assistance with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and typing documents;
- Performs data entry of miscellaneous incident reports;
- Assists with the management of the parking permit program (which includes assembling of mass mailings) and processing citation fines;
- Assists with the scheduling of student staff and backfilling call-offs;
- Greets visitors and guests to the office;
- Runs errands throughout the University;
- Hours vary depending on assignment to either the DPS office or Residence Hall
- Checks in residence hall guests and monitors residence hall entrance in evenings
- Additional duties as determined by Supervisor
Qualifications
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIRED
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- May require basic proficiency in any of the following programs: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint;
- Telephone skills;
- Verbal and written communication skills;
- Organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently.
Description of Hours:
Scheduled any time between 9a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
