Job Summary:
The Commission-Based Sales and Business Development Manager will focus on growing existing accounts and generating new business by identifying companies with IT staffing needs, building strong client relationships, and closing deals for staffing services. This role suits a proactive sales professional with experience in IT staffing or related industries, who excels in a performance-based environment. You’ll collaborate with our recruiting team to ensure client satisfaction and deliver exceptional talent solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Networking and building relationships with existing state and local government agencies to secure repeat business and referrals.
- Business Development: Identify and target prospective clients with IT staffing needs through existing relationships and networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Sales Process: Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals for temporary, contract-to-hire, or permanent IT staffing placements.
- Client Engagement: Understand clients’ technical hiring requirements (e.g., software developers, cybersecurity experts, IT project managers) and pitch tailored staffing solutions.
- Market Awareness: Stay updated on IT industry trends, hiring demands, and competitor offerings to position our services effectively.
- Pipeline Management: Track leads, opportunities, and deals and provide regular updates on progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with recruiters to ensure candidate quality aligns with client expectations and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in IT staffing, recruiting, or a related B2B sales field.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of IT roles and technologies (e.g., cloud computing, DevOps, data analytics, application development) to effectively communicate with clients.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed, commission-based role with minimal supervision
- Mindset: Goal-oriented, persistent, and adaptable with a strong drive to succeed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Network: Existing connections within the public sector, IT or staffing industry are highly desirable.
Compensation:
- Structure: 100% commission-based with uncapped earning potential based on sales volume and deal size.
