BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE
Summary:
As an inventory control specialist, you will ensure the integrity of the data within the inventory management system and physical inventory is accurate. You will respond with urgency and in a timely manner, as requested. You will be proactive in the approach to the assigned workload and business needs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. *Heavy inventory and cycle counting required (verified inventory experience of 2-3 years).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform weekly cycle counts
- Maintain inventory accuracy
- Investigate inventory discrepancies including but limited to missing stock, through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Audit inventory picks compliance.
- Auditing of inventory in locations.
- Systematic adjustments and movements
- Controls the staging and organization of the materials in the warehouse. This includes ensuring FIFO is followed
- QC Outbound orders and kitting for accuracy
- Assist with year-end audit and inventory counts
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse facility
- High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent;
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years in inventory control, including 1 year of Forklift driving experience or Forklift Certification.
- Familiarity with bar-code technology and equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of:
- Auditing warehouse inventory
- Pick compliance procedures
- Quality control of procedures outbound orders
- Warehousing location systems and inventory programs (Warehouse Management Systems)
Skilled in:
- Advanced Excel (PVIOT Tables, VLOOOKUP, Formulas)
- Basic mathematics (adding, subtracting and division)
- Using tools required for this position
- Organization
Ability to:
- Maintain inventory accuracy
- Perform weekly cycle counts
- Set up staging area and organize materials in the warehouse
- Speak and write professionally and effectively to a diverse population
- Operate and maneuver forklift
Work Environment:
Warehouse: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Able to lift and move 25-50 pounds
