We are currently seeking a Well Specialist to manage and maintain the water supply systems, ensuring clean and reliable water service across our communities.
What You’ll Do
- Water System Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of community well systems, including pumps, storage tanks, and distribution lines. Oversee contractors.
- Water Quality Testing: Conduct regular sampling and testing to ensure water quality meets state and federal health standards.
- Pump & Equipment Repairs: Diagnose, repair, and replace well pumps, pressure tanks, pipes, and related equipment as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate records of water quality, system inspections, and maintenance logs for regulatory agencies.
- Emergency Response: Address system failures, pressure drops, leaks, and contamination issues in a timely manner.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections and servicing of well and water distribution systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Work alongside infrastructure and maintenance teams to support overall community utilities.
Who You Are
- Experienced: At least 5 years of experience in well system operation, water treatment, or a related field.
- Certified: Possession of (or ability to obtain) a Water Well Operator License preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of groundwater wells, pumping systems, and water treatment methods.
- Problem-Solver: Capable of diagnosing and resolving well system issues efficiently.
- Physically Capable: Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs, as well as bend, twist, crouch, climb, and balance as needed.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using company-provided phone and laptop for reporting and documentation. Looking to add more technology to our wells. Will need help implementing.
- Driver: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
