This position will be responsible for mobilization of new maintenance contracts for rail vehicle maintenance and facility operations to fully meet customer, FRA, State, and local requirements. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the quality, regulatory and contractual compliance of the start-up.
The Mobilization Project Manager (location negotiable Dallas, San Jose, Salt Lake City) will oversee the start-up of rail vehicle maintenance and facility activities, including, but not limited to:Key Activities
- Operational safety and performance during start-up
- Management of systems, procedures, and policies
- Compliance with all contract deliverables and contractual obligations
- Prepare project status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
- Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables.
- Documentation of procedures and accurate record keeping
- Manage customer satisfaction within the project transition period
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years proven experience with a strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
- Minimum 5 years in railcar and/or locomotive transit rail vehicle Maintenance Management, operations or project management
- PMP certification a plus
- Solid organizational skills
- Responsible for safety, customer service, FRA compliance, accurate budgeting, scheduling, change order implementation, and overall aspects of contract management
- Willing to travel 30% - 40%
