Plant Electrician
This is a regular, full-time, hourly position at our industrial manufacturing plant in Woodland, WA. The expected work schedule is Monday-Friday (Days) with required “On-Call” duties which may include night and weekend work when necessary. All Scheduling is based on plant needs, and candidates must be able to accommodate.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical equipment within our plant.
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul electromechanical and solid-state electrical equipment using various electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools, and equipment.
- Responsible for completing and maintaining the plant’s electrical /mechanical preventative maintenance program.
- Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code while adhering to CRC electrical safety standards.
- Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for project facilities and equipment.
- Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations.
- Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers, contractors, and the public.
- Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Responsible for lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by CRC policy.
- Other related incidental work as needed.
Preferred / Required Skills Electrical and Mechanical.
Preferred:
- Journeyman Electrician’s license through the state of Washington or Oregon.
Required:
- High School diploma and two years of experience performing electrical maintenance on production or facilities equipment.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, and installations, diagnose and correct problems with conveyor systems, pumping systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems, and lighting systems.
- Lay out and install electrical appliances such as plugs, switches, and lights.
- Experience with motors, motor controllers, electrical switchgear, three-phase-480v service, and three-phase-4160v service.
- Have PLC and VFD drive knowledge.
- Installation and set-up of AC drive units.
- Conducts root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime, etc.
- Ensure work is completed by company safety procedures and local building /electrical codes.
- Understanding of NFPA 70E code.
