Position Overview
The Experimental Parts Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by creating and maintaining part routings, managing inventory, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure seamless production workflows. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain manufacturing routings to optimize production processes.
- Generate and troubleshoot laser operation programs to support manufacturing needs.
- Review and interpret manufactured part prints, ensuring accuracy and feasibility for production.
- Monitor production inventory levels and analyze forecasted inventory demands.
- Facilitate stock transfers between departments to support operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments for material transfers and ensure timely availability.
- Liaise with supply management teams regarding purchased parts and stock availability.
- Maintain and update daily and weekly reports using Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Create basic part models and drawings as needed to assist production teams.
- Address and troubleshoot part requests from engineers, ensuring timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot laser programs and manufacturing routings to enhance efficiency and quality.
Systems & Tools Used
- SAP Inventory and production management
- CREO & AutoCAD 3D modeling and drafting
- MS Office Suite Excel, Word, PowerPoint for reporting and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel (data analysis, reporting, and forecasting).
- Strong organizational and communication skills to facilitate cross-department collaboration.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze data and troubleshoot issues.
- Comfortable working with computers and manufacturing software.
- Experience in inventory management and material tracking.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- 2D drawing/print reading skills Highly preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting Nice to have.
- Hands-on experience with CREO and AutoCAD.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and other manufacturing techniques.
- Experience using SAP and Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Associate degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
