About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Operations Supervisor to oversee manufacturing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage daily operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure efficiency while maintaining quality, safety, and cost targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, experience in a union environment, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of semi to highly skilled employees, ensuring productivity and performance align with company goals.
- Foster a positive work environment through clear communication, feedback, and leadership.
- Ensure employees receive proper training, work instructions, and tools for success.
- Monitor production quality, troubleshoot workmanship issues, and enforce control plans.
- Administer and uphold company policies, procedures, and work rules, addressing concerns as necessary.
- Manage production schedules, assign daily tasks, and coordinate overtime to meet delivery targets.
- Oversee equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
- Monitor departmental budgets and implement cost-control measures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
