Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to ensure the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining hardware and software, and assisting users with their IT needs. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in enhancing productivity by ensuring that all technology functions efficiently.
Duties
- Provide technical support to end-users in the office environment, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), ensuring connectivity and performance.
- Utilize ServiceNow for tracking and managing service requests and incidents.
- Perform computer management tasks including installation, configuration, and upgrades of operating systems (primarily Windows and Linux).
- Monitor and maintain firewalls to ensure network security.
- Troubleshoot networking issues, including connectivity problems and network performance.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of office equipment such as printers, scanners, and telecommunication devices.
- Document technical procedures and user guides to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
Skills
- Proficiency in providing IT support within an office environment.
- Strong knowledge of LAN management and computer networking principles.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems; experience with Linux is a plus.
- Understanding of firewall configurations and network security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
