Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with a competitive hourly rate. This position involves working on heavy equipment, diesel engines, and other machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical issues with heavy equipment and diesel engines
- Repairing and maintaining equipment to prevent downtime and improve productivity
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as greasing, oiling, and cleaning equipment
- Assisting higher-classified mechanics and working independently or directing others as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years of general shop experience and training or through our training program
- On-the-job experience with repair and maintenance of heavy equipment
- Able to use print manuals and have knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures
