Band Saw Operator

Staff Source is seeking an experience, mathematically and mechanically inclined individual to work as a production Saw Operator for a Metals Distribution facility located in Frazier, MI. The rate of pay is dependent upon experience. $ 17-$18.00/ hour. This is a first shift Temp to Hire position. Shift times are Monday through Friday 8:00 am/8:30 AM – 5:00 AM.

Saw Operator responsibilities;

· Operate forklift to retrieve material from rack

· Place material on the saw table

· Program saw to cut material/metals down to customer specifications

· Use caliper and tape measure to ensure material is being cut to the correct specifications

· Change saw blades as needed

· Put material back into racks clean work area

· Other various warehouse related tasks

Saw Operator requirements:

· General warehouse experience

· Forklift experience 4 years previous experience

· Able to lift 50 to 75 lbs

· Accurately measure using a tape measure—5 years previous experience required

· Ability to convert fractions to decimals (There is a written test you must pass)

· Previous experience operating a bandsaw or similar type equipment is preferred

· Experience with metal grades
