We are looking for an experienced Metal Cutter to join our team in Troy. The ideal candidate will have a background in a steel shop or manufacturing environment and possess strong attention to detail and precision.
Responsibilities
- Operate cutting machinery and equipment to meet job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or diagrams for accurate cutting
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cutter or similar role in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with various cutting tools and equipment
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical documents and measurements
- Proficiency with a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
- Machine shop experience is preferred
- Side loader experience is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
