Position Overview:
Staff Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to support CalPERS INVO Enhanced Management Reporting initiative. The consultant will lead the design, development, and enhancement of reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps, as well as perform advanced data integration and dashboarding to support operational analytics within the Investment Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance Business Intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI and Power Apps.
Collaborate with business users to gather and confirm reporting requirements.
Design and implement ETL processes and data warehouse solutions using Oracle and similar tools.
Create intuitive, actionable visualizations and predictive analytics using CalPERS business metrics.
Troubleshoot and resolve BI and data integration issues.
Support knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing operations.
Work independently and in coordination with CalPERS internal teams.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in BI development and data analytics.
3 years of experience using Microsoft Power BI for dashboard and report development.
Experience in report meta-modeling (conformed dimensions, hierarchies, security rules, data dictionary).
3 years of ETL experience using Oracle Data Integrator or similar tools.
Proficiency in complex SQL development and performance tuning.
Demonstrated experience on 2 or more BI/Analytics projects, one with a $1M budget.
Experience in financial services, pension, or investment management domains is a plus.
