Minimum Qualifications
The health information analyst will possess a bachelor's degree in statistics, health informatics, biostatistics, or related field.
Minimum three years of computer programming experience, performing data manipulation, producing reports, tables, charts, maps, etc. Preferably in healthcare related duties.
Strong knowledge of and experience with SAS or R software is required
Role Description: This position has primary responsibility to use data from multiple sources to examine the factors related to antibiotic prescribing across Pennsylvania using SAS or R.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Inspect, filter, and "clean”data using exploratory data analysis
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Analyze data using statistical techniques
Interpret data after and during analysis to refine analysis
Prepare tables, charts, maps, and graphs to display the results in format that is easy to understand
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Use industry standard organizational approaches to storing data, writing code, writing comments and naming files
Help develop data collection tools
Collaborate with team members to discuss the progress and results
Help develop an analytic plan and timeline to complete the project
Help write publications
