A large company is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation – Claims Risk Analyst. Seeking candidates with three years’ experience administering workers’ compensation claims, and Third Party Administrator. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks in the following areas: Workers’ Compensation and Light Duty Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the Workers’ Compensation claims program by making initial contact with injured employees, performing intake interviews and authorizing medical treatments. Responsible for all departmental Workers’ Compensation related documents ensuring all documentation is completed according to state standards and filed with the Third Party Administrator..
- Coordinates the Light Duty Program by evaluating employees work restrictions that temporarily preclude them from returning to their usual work. Evaluates whether restrictions can be accommodated by modifying their current work environment or assigning them to a temporary light duty position. Continually monitors work restrictions throughout the duration of the light duty assignment
- Risk Management Software and data analysis
- Daily interactions with internal department customers, claim representatives.
The minimum qualifications are:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Risk Management or related field.
• A minimum of three years of technical or professional experience in general liability or property damage claims processing, contract insurance, or workers compensation administration.
• SAP experience a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP, etc.).
• Analytical skills
• Knowledge of Risk Enterprise Software or Claims Management Software Systems a plus
• Able to work independently.
