Position Summary:
To help fulfill the mission of Legacy Christian Academy to provide competent safety and security service on the campus with an emphasis on customer service and good community relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Circulate among visitors, students, and staff to preserve order and protect personnel and property.
- Serve as security presence at major school events, including, but not limited to, home football games.
- Assist Director of Security in the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring appropriate security coverage for all events on school calendar.
- Advise and assist school administrators in matters involving investigations as directed.
- Assisting in periodic assessment of school facilities and grounds to determine safety and security issues.
- Coordinating with school leaders, IT, and facilities staff to address and correct safety and security issues on school campuses.
- Receiving all reports of school crime from school leaders and maintains statistics regarding this information.
- Perform clerical functions incidental to security.
- Respond to all alarms and contact emergency services, to include medical, police and fire, in cases of emergency, such as injuries, fire, break-ins, or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Maintain contact and be accessible to school administrators via cellular phone and/or 2-way radio
- Drive vehicles required to perform work, including cars and carts, in accordance with school policy.
- Honor and observe all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the school.
- Interact in a Christ-like manner at all times. Utilize the interpersonal relationship method of “Matthew 18” as commanded by Jesus Christ.

- have a working knowledge of and follow LCA’s Employee Handbook, Parent & Student Handbook.
- sign and live by the school’s Lifestyle Statement and Moral Integrity Statement as a condition for employment and continued employment in this ministry;
- maintain confidentiality in the operation of the classroom and the school;
- refrain from unwholesome talk, including profanity, slang (language widely used and accepted, but not appropriate for godliness) or jokes that may be offensive;
- place his/her school ministry ahead of other jobs or volunteer activities; and
- maintain a personal appearance that models cleanliness, modesty, and good taste consistent with school policy.
