Job Description: As a CMM Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our manufactured products. You will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and verify parts and components. Your expertise will help maintain our high standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections of parts and components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine measurement requirements.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM and other measuring tools.
- Document and report inspection results, identifying any deviations from specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, measurements, and calibration activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a CMM Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating and programming CMM machines (e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus.
