Position: HR Generalist
Location: Office in Warren, MI
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering positive employee relations
- Conduct investigations and provide guidance on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training programs
- Coordinate and conduct exit interviews, identifying trends and recommending improvements
Performance Management:
- Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers and employees
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
- Ensure compliance with regulations and communicate benefits information to employees
HR Policies and Compliance:
- Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies to employees
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and professional development.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess strong time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- The ideal candidate must consistently demonstrate professional behavior, including strong ethics, integrity, and a positive attitude in all workplace interactions
