We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Quality Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance program for assigned projects. You will act as the primary liaison for Quality Assurance, coordinating with vendors and internal departments to ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain test and inspection plans
Attend monthly meetings, providing detailed quality status reports and identifying issues and corrective actions
Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with technical specifications
Oversee audits, document reviews, and corrective action to support continuous improvement
Manage project schedules for quality activities, including inspections, and audits
Travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%) to support project needs
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft, rail car, or bus manufacturing at the prime or vendor level
Strong knowledge of Quality processes, including FAI, Source inspections, and ISO 9001
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and meeting deadlines in both office and field environments
