About the Company - SNI Companies has partnered with a large Law Firm in the Philadelphia, PA area is looking for a Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.
About the Role - The Legal Assistant will assist with administrative tasks to contribute to efficient office operations, assist with complex document production, prepare court filings, create Table of Contents and Table of Authorities, prepare shell responses to propounded discovery, communicate with court staff, handle outgoing and incoming mail/FedEx, maintain calendars for assigned attorneys, prepare Trial Memorandum, schedule depositions and Mediations, scan and upload documents, and answer telephones taking detailed messages.
Responsibilities
- Assists with administrative tasks to contribute to efficient office operations.
- Assists with complex document production, such as drafting pleadings and correspondence.
- Prepares court filings and files with various courts (traditional and e-filings).
- Creates Table of Contents and Table of Authorities.
- Prepares shell responses to propounded discovery accurately and efficiently.
- Communicates with court staff regarding various issues.
- Handles outgoing and incoming mail/FedEx for assigned attorneys.
- Maintains calendars for assigned attorneys.
- Prepares Trial Memorandum and calendar all appearances/deadlines.
- Schedule local and out-of-town depositions and Mediations.
- Scans and uploads documents to Neos and creates master’s for new files.
- Answers telephones taking detailed messages. At request of attorneys, provide follow up and interact with clients, outside counsel and others.
Qualifications
- Exceptional writing, communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy and knowledge of legal terminology.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
