Position Summary:
Responsible for technical management, maintenance, and engineering development of production processes and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides technical assistance and management to ensure that process operations in the production perform in a safe and consistent manner in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Assists Operations Managers and coordinates with Process Operators to support day-to-day production tasks and manufacturing processes.
- Under the direction of Operations Managers, develops and provides training on the process operations for production.
- Maintains physical inventory of raw materials and production support supplies.
- Provides oversight to maintenance and performs routine maintenance to ensure that process equipment is fully functional.
- Identifies and drives improvement opportunities including procedural changes, upgrades, and projects.
- Assists in resolving all product-related quality issues.
- Performs all tasks according to standard operating procedures.
- Follows all company, industry standard and OSHA safety procedures, including equipment safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Supports other departments, as needed.
- Bachelor s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related scientific field.
- 2 years experience working in a manufacturing or process development environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently in all aspects of process engineering.
- Process control and batch manufacturing process knowledge
- Leadership skills to coach and provide guidance to process operators.
- Knowledge of safe hazardous material handling policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and lift or move 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP ERP.
- Must be fluent in the Korean language.
