Key Responsibilities for the Corporate Controller include :
Lead Finance Department functions : Corporate Accounting, Budgeting, AR, AP, Payroll, Treasury, Procurement, and Risk Management.
Collaborate with the CFO to set financial goals and coach the team for continuous learning and performance.
Participate in the Operational Leadership and Finance Teams, and act as a backup to the CFO.
Oversee the Annual Budget process and facilitate quarterly financial and budget reviews.
Manage month-end close, analyze financial performance, and ensure timely disbursements.
Maintain financial systems and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
Prepare accurate, timely reports for the CFO, Executive Leadership, and Board of Directors.

Minimum Qualifications for the Corporate Controller :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
A minimum of seven years of experience in financial management, with a background in leadership roles such as a Finance Manager or Controller.
Demonstrated expertise in leading teams, optimizing workflows, and meeting financial deadlines.
Skilled in analyzing financial data and creating reports, forecasts, and financial statements for key stakeholders.
Experience managing finances for diverse operations, ideally in industries such as real estate, property management, hospitality, or retail.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial modeling techniques.
Strong background in working with general ledger systems and budgeting tools.
Preferred Qualifications for the Corporate Controller :
CPA, MBA, or CMA certification.
Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices.
Experience in real estate or property management sectors.
Proficient in Yardi or similar property management software.
