Position: Staff Accountant
Location: Honolulu, HI
Pay: $30/hour
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field required.
- Experience in non-profit accounting preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and the fiscal health of assigned portfolios.
- Prepare, analyze and monitor contract budgets.
- Compile routine and special statistical reports.
- Review expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary limitations and contractual requirements.
- Audit vouchers and expense accounts.
- Perform advanced and specialized accounting tasks involving complex and confidential data.
- Manage assigned Balance Sheet accounts and ensure timely monthly reconciliations for accurate month-end financial closings.
- Perform journal entries in the general ledger and prepare supporting schedules.
- Assist in cross-training staff accountants as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
