Plant Maintenance Manager

Our top Client in Houston, TX is currently looking for a Plant Maintenance Manager.

In this role, you will manage and provide leadership, direction, and support to the M aintenance Department to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services in accordance with the company’s policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws. You will be responsible to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure that safety, quality, yields, throughput, and efficiencies are met. This position also includes recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development within the framework of established human resources policies and practices.

J ob Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage a maintenance department to ensure all equipment and facilities are safe and efficient.
• Maintain equipment within vendor specifications and tolerances.
• Set performance objectives and standards for the maintenance department.
• Execute a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime.
• Act as an escalation point for emergency maintenance requests.
• Consult with engineering and management on equipment modifications and replacements.
• Analyze and recommend new equipment proposals.
• Ensure adequate supply and control of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Implement cost-reduction measures to control maintenance expenses.
• Keep management informed of equipment and facility performance.
• Stay current with industry regulations and codes for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Develop maintenance department procedures and policies.
• Oversee department schedules to optimize preventive and repair services.
• Manage employees, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and performance management.
• Apply work rules, union contract provisions, and employment policies consistently.
• Collaborate with HR and plant management to resolve employee grievances.
• Follow all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
