Job Description
- Coordinate with field management staff to collect union new hire paperwork. Ensure information is complete and accurate. Follow up on any issues or missing information.
- Create union employee record in ERP system, updating employment data or status changes. Ensure severance, termination, and disciplinary forms are reflected appropriately.
- Review field time entry reports for potential errors in hours, union, pay class, and per diem. Follow up with site teams and address as appropriate prior to payroll processing.
- Process weekly union payroll and off-cycle checks in a timely manner by importing time details and validating entries created. Confirm calculation of earnings, deductions, garnishments, union liabilities, and taxes. Ensure paychecks are distributed on time.
- Prepare monthly union remittances. Using system reports, calculate amounts and submit payment requests, ensuring reconciliation between liabilities accrued and payments. Match payments with labor details and remit to appropriate funds.
- Prepare reports, check for accuracy, and resolve discrepancies as part of business recordkeeping and compliance activities.
- Respond to and resolve any union employee payroll inquiries.
- Process employment verifications and unemployment claims by deadline outlined. Escalate unemployment hearing notices to Human Resources.
- Submit new hire reports to state agencies.
- Process child support and other court orders as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Experience processing construction payroll preferred.
- Experience with Oracle or other large software vendors preferred.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Must have a high school degree and min 3 years of payroll experience (Must Show on Resume).
Additional Requirements
- The team is looking for local candidate.
- All interviews will be in-person.
- This position will sit in the Company headquarters in Appleton, WI.
- There's no remote/no hybrid opportunity.
- This position is eligible for flex 9/80 schedule. If candidate is interested in working the 9/80 schedule, they must start a traditional work week schedule first and then have a conversation with the manager. It would up to manager's discretion when the 9/80 schedule will take in effect.
- Candidate will work around 40-45 hours per week.
