Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $19.50 / hour
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator moves packages and material around our facilities. The Forklift Operator must be able to operate a forklift with upmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drives sit-down, reach-fork and pallet trucks
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods
- Follows safety regulation and company guidelines
- Moves the oldest material first (FIFO)
- Loading and unloading truck
- Pick batches
- Move any material from broken pallets into good pallets
- Cross train with the other forklift drivers
- Return any leftover material into inventory
Job Requirements:
- MUST be bilingual (English & Spanish)
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Prior experience as a forklift operator
- Forklift or heavy machinery certification
- Completion of forklift driving course
- Valid driver’s license
- Lift up to 60 pounds boxes
- Strong communications skills
- Withstand all kind of temperature
