    POSITION: Payroll and Benefits Coordinator (12-month), 40 hours per week

    LOCATION: Central Office

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing and benefit administration experience; knowledge of fund accounting and Tyler ERP Pro software preferred.
    • Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent computer, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Perform all payroll functions – including taxes, deductions, union contracts, insurance premiums, and teachers’ retirement. Enter hourly, salary, and daily substitute time for bi-weekly payrolls.
    • Prepare direct deposit files; transmit ACH files to meet transfer deadlines; complete ACH bank verifications and authorization for transmission.
    • Calculate and maintain Teacher Retirement Board (TRB) health and retirement deductions for all certified personnel. Create and transmit monthly and quarterly TRB data files and initiate monthly wire transfers of TRB contributions.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements as required by the Federal and State government (including, but not limited to, W-2, Federal and State tax returns, Department of Labor employer wage & research information reports).
    • Process enrollment forms and apply respective payroll deductions for employee benefits (i.e., medical insurance coverage, life insurance coverage, retirement, etc.).
    • Calculate and process monthly insurance bills including retiree co-pays and employee co-pays; communicate with our insurance brokers/carriers any bill discrepancies identified.
    • Maintain employee pension information and provide data to actuaries as requested. Initiate pension transactions.
    • Provide information to the Director of Finance & Operations for the annual audit of department financial records, as requested.
    • Additional tasks as needed/required.

    RATE OF PAY: 2024 - 2025: $65,647 - $76,992, commensurate with experience
    2025 - 2026: $69,656 - $78,446
    2026 - 2027: $73,518 - $79,574
