I'm searching for a Director of Technology for a FTE/Direct hire position in Columbus, OH. This is an on-site position near downtown Columbus. Monday through Thursday in office and depending on meetings and things of that nature, Friday can be a work from home day when possible. Local candidates only, please. This person will be in charge of all technology decisions. They will manage the relationship with their MSP, who provides their tech support and server management. They will work closely with accounting and finance group and have an understanding of their technology needs. This person will be strong with ERP systems (they currently use Viewpoint) and will assess new technology options in the future. Being the only full time IT employee, this person will be a true "jack of all trades" and have to learn new things quickly when needed. Strong people skills and a good culture fit are essential for success in this job. The salary range for this job is $120-150K per year and my client is looking for someone with 5 or more years of IT leadership experience and someone with a strong overall business background as well. Director Of Technology
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: CFO
Reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing the technology: strategy, infrastructure, and operations of the organization. Will be able to balance business requirements with technical capabilities and should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. This position will also be responsible for researching and integrating new innovative processes or systems within our software to increase business efficiency.
- Work with Executive Leadership to develop and maintain a Corporate IT Strategic Plan.
- Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise technology systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure [offices/jobsites].
- Verify the organization's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable on a routine basis.
- Ensure the organization's disaster recovery and business continuity plans are accurate and tested annually.
- Lead and manage Consultants. Including On/Off boarding of associates and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Establish and manage IT budgets and procurement processes.
- Maintaining relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Providing regular reports to Executive Management on the organization's technology performance and progress.
- Maintain content, security and retention policies in SharePoint and other storage repositories.

- Collaborate with operations and support departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop policies and procedures for technology usage, security, and security monitoring
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the industry.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to technology.
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics/AI
- Manage and maintain data systems and tools, including data warehouses, databases, cloud and analytics platforms.
- Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure data is available and accessible to stakeholders.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or Engineering
- At least (5) years of industry related knowledge
- Microsoft Suite and ERP experience
- IT experience within a construction company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management
- Ability to work independently and within team environments
- Strong ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Some travel will be required to central and southern Ohio job sites
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
