Job Title: Database Administrator/SQL Programmer
Role Overview:
Develop, maintain, and secure SQL databases and create clinical, business, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making. Work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management: Design, maintain, back up, and restore SQL databases; optimize queries and manage disaster recovery.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop SQL, ETL processes, and XML scripts; create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, SSRS).
- Collaboration: Work with IT and vendors to streamline data mining and reporting; provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Documentation & Compliance: Document database builds and enhancements; adhere to corporate compliance and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in data science, database administration, or decision support (preferably in healthcare).
- Strong expertise in SQL, SSMS, ETL, and related technologies (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, Java) and healthcare metrics (HEDIS, STARS) is a plus.
