Experienced Blow Mold Machine Operator
Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- Will train on 1st shift from 5am until 2:30pm and then company will decide if on either a mid-shift or a 2nd shift .
Pay:
- $20.00 or depending on experience

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for mold change and machine adjustments.
• Start up and shut down of machines.
• Operate crane to replace molds.
- Full understanding of machine set up and operation ability to make changes as necessary
- Proper plates are in mold
• Use Forklift to move molds.
- Make sure stickers and sheets match each other
- Stickers are properly being placed on the tanks
- Maintaining proper gauging on tanks
- Keep color at the proper specification
- Make sure weight is at the minimum to accommodate proper gauging thickness.
- Every hour try lid fit on both manholes of tank
- Weigh purges before the end of your shift / if you purged it you weigh it
- Able to chase resin alarms, and maintain resin flow to machine
- Maintaining rail car and the status of the pockets
- Filling out the daily status reports / as well as your production reports
- • Conduct minor repairs and change inserts.
- • Responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of high volume blow molding machines.
- • Monitor production quantities for color change, mold change and product completions.
- • Ensure safe working practices are followed.
- • Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping in the assigned work area.
- • Promote, attain, and maintain safety, quality, and environmental awareness and requirements in the area of responsibility.
- • Identify and resolve issues in the assigned cell regarding equipment, machines, personnel, process, training and materials, which conflict in obtaining maximum quality of production and efficiencies.
- • Monitor equipment in the assigned cell and write maintenance repair tickets in order to reduce spoilage (scrap), down time and ensure the maximum output of production while maintaining acceptable quality standards.
- • Inspect machines hourly in the assigned cell to ensure production of acceptable quality parts to prevent mass production of defective or unacceptable parts (scrap).
- • Maintain all machine boards in the assigned cell with current information to communicate machine status and targets.
- • Accurately report daily shift performances, which include but not limited to safety, quality, labor hours, , production tickets, scrap.
MOLD CHANGES AND SET UPS
- Able to make mold set ups with the M-108 saving recipe changing recipe ECT.
- Knowledge of mold changes and procedures
- Aware of lock out tag out procedures/as well the use of ladders and safety harness
- Full knowledge of draining water from M-108 mold and hoses
- Aware of the plates that will be going in and if not wear to find out
- Clean blender filters and buckets during mold change and any time the machine is down
- Know that all bolts need to be tight and water/hydraulic hoses are connected/water is on
- Cycle tested/water tested/ reset blow/pre-blow/needle air pressure/squeezers set up
- Recheck mold clamp bolts for tightness.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years work experience.
- Possess and demonstrate positive mentoring and leadership qualities.
- Good oral and written English communication skills.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.
- Possess basic math skills.
- Possess basic organizational skills.
- May be required to travel as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as a team to get work done in a timely fashion without being micro-managed.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Steel toe shoes are required
