Staff Accountant

Job Description

One of North America’s largest, award winning entertainment trucking companies is seeking a team-oriented individual to assist in our accounting department. Candidates must communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, as well as have good organizational skills. Preferred candidates will have an accounting degree or prior accounting experience.

Job Responsibilities May Include:

• Maintain vendor records
• Data entry of vendor invoices to the appropriate GL account
• Processing of weekly check run
• Reconcile vendor accounts and expenses
• Maintain vendor relationships
• Prepare month-end accruals
• Provide administrative support to OTR drivers
• Process payroll for OTR drivers
• Sort incoming mail
• Maintain customer records
• Process customer invoicing
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Accounts Receivable collections
• Assist with Receptionist duties as needed
• Assist with general office/accounting duties as needed
  
  

Qualifications required for employment consideration:

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have minimum of 2 years of AR, AP, Payroll, or General Accounting experience
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and well organized
• Must be proficient in Excel
• Must be able to work efficiently and effectively with others in a fast-paced environment
