Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Addiction Counselor(LAC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) to join our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance abuse counseling, group therapy facilitation, assessments, treatment planning, and case management. This role requires adherence to the policies and procedures set forth by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (LDHH) to ensure high-quality care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions for clients in the Substance Abuse IOP.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial and substance use evaluations.
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring measurable goals are established.
- Ensure timely completion of authorizations for services, adhering to Medicaid and other insurance provider guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with all LDHH policies and procedures, ensuring program integrity and client safety.
- Monitor and document client progress in treatment using appropriate electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary and support clients in developing healthy coping skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training sessions as required.
- Ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory standards and program requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active license in Louisiana as an LCSW, LAC, or LPC.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health.
- Strong experience in facilitating group therapy for clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of LDHH regulations and Medicaid billing requirements.
- Proficiency in treatment planning, conducting assessments, and completing authorizations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Experience with EHR systems and proficient documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, DBT, or other relevant therapeutic modalities.
- Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and populations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
