GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure that all warehouse duties are effectively and efficiently completed in a safe manner. To positively coach and teach direct reports.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direct, on-the-job training and utilizes constructive coaching tips to ensure that all employees understand and adhere to the company and supplier policies, procedures and market standards.
- Maintains high presentation standards for all subordinates
- Works to , discipline and terminate as necessary, personnel reporting to the position.
- Continuously monitors employee performance to ensure duties are completed in an accurate, safe and timely manner.
- Conduct employee performance reviews for direct reports.
- Conducts meetings to help ensure that company issues and employee needs are being addressed and executed.
- Assigns tasks and duties for each employee on a daily basis to maximize productivity and cross training, while minimizing indirect labor hours and employee turnover.
- Immediately addresses and reports to management, accidents, safety concerns, deficiencies in equipment and security concerns.
- Ensures that all responsibilities of warehouse personnel are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
- Works in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources to develop and implement in-house training programs.
- Monitors employee breaks and vacations schedules and provides relief assignments to ensure that the job responsibilities are met.
- Has working knowledge of entire portfolio of brands.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
INVENTORY
- Continuously works to ensure that product within the warehouse is laid out in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all inbound loads are unloaded and rotated into the warehouse in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
- Verifies that all inbound product quantities are correct and match all related invoices.
- Verifies that all inbound product is free from damage, delivered at the correct temperature requirements and delivered within the correct date ranges.
- Verifies all outbound loads with product invoices.
- Executes all scheduled inventory product counts within the warehouse and provides all information to the correct personnel.
- Is accountable for all dunnage, pallets, equipment and product within the warehouse.
- Continuously checks package dates and rotation within the warehouse and informs management of any distressed packages.
- Ensures that product in the pick row is filled and rotated each day.
WAREHOUSE
- Always maintains a clean warehouse.
- Maintains a clean dumpster area and schedules additional dumpster pickups.
- Always ensures a safe working environment.
- Ensures all equipment (i.e. forklifts, scrubbers, etc.) are in a safe working order and coordinates repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensures that temperature sensors throughout the warehouse are always in good working condition.
- Maintains a daily log of cooler temperatures and informs management of readings that do not meet supplier requirements.
OTHER
- Pulls, builds, and loads customer and employee product orders when needed.
- Delivers product to retail accounts when needed.
- Picks up product from other sources (distributors) when needed.
- Makes certain that incoming POS and merchandise correctly matches bills of lading and is distributed to proper locations within the warehouse.
- Ensures that all product and equipment leaving the warehouse is accounted for through complete and correct paperwork.
- Assists in product count on delivery vehicles upon their return and ensures all load sheets are correct.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes and submits all paperwork in a correct and timely fashion.
- Understands and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all applicable federal, state and local regulations regarding the sale, merchandising, and delivery of product.
- Adheres to all applicable federal, state and local safety regulations when using equipment and vehicles.
- Operates in a safe manner and promotes safety during all working hours.
- Works with other employees to ensure that team building, professionalism and a positive environment occur within the company.
- Creates and maintains positive and open lines of communication between all working departments.
- Works to resolve all customer complaints within 24 hours and ensure there are no reoccurring problems.
- Maintains appropriate dress and appearance.
- Attends all meetings, promotional activities, and company functions when requested.
- Performs any other necessary duties as directed by management.

The noise level in the environment is normally mild to moderate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
